Beaver Scouts are young people aged 6-8. Our Beaver Colony consists of three Lodges of up to 6 Beavers, led by a Lodge Leader. The meetings are fun based and structured around making friends, playing games, going on visits, helping others and badge work.
They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of sleepovers. We generally run 1 sleepover per term, though it may be replaced by a camp. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it's a real adventure for them.
Term-time Thursdays
18:00–19:30
Beavers are easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise polos and sweatshirts, dark trousers and group necker (which is supplied by the group). Find out more about uniform here.

Sewing, digital art, crafting, hiking, kayaking/canoeing, archery, riflery, cycling, camping… Can you see why I joined Scouting?

Pioneer Girls in Canada, as a Voyager, Lavalier and Trailblazer, including a week-long summer camp every year.
My dad grew up Scouting in Canada and passed his knowledge and love for the outdoors on to me. I wanted to pass that on to young people and help make the programme better and more fun.
The adventurous activities and camps! Oh, and the campfire songs. 😉

My hobbies are, singing, reading, playing pool and watching the ice hockey.
Less than a year.
I was a part of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and I am now apart of Network.
I joined Scouting as an after school club/group to do and then really enjoyed it and never left.
My favourite part is sitting round a campfire with friends, meeting new people and the laughter that comes with trying to put your tent away knowing it’s not going to fit in the bag it came out of.

Football, running, camping and being outdoors.
Less than a year.
I was in Scouts as a child and had a great experience, so want to help others have that experience.
My favourite part of Scouting is making fires

You're probably just the person we need to help with the Beavers section. Head over to the volunteer page to see how you could help.
